Food Boxx

You can find us over at L B 429 in the Vimatangi H P Colony area of Sahid Nagar. Food Boxx is what we call the place and it is exactly what it sounds like. We spend a lot of time packing up meals into those little containers for people to take away. The kitchen is small but we’ve learned how to move around each other without bumping into things too often. Sahid Nagar is a busy part of town and there is always something going on outside our door. We get a lot of the same faces coming in every day which is nice because we know what they want before they even ask. The mornings are usually spent prepping vegetables and making sure the rice is started on time. Sometimes the heat in the kitchen gets to be a bit much during the summer months but we have a couple of fans that help a little bit. It’s not a fancy setup with waiters or anything. We just focus on getting the food into the boxes and out to the people who are waiting. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected and have to tell people we're done for the day. It’s just the way it goes when you’re a small shop like ours. We just try to do an honest day’s work and go home tired. Every day is a bit different but the work stays the same.
