Jai Guru Caterer

We are based in Sahid Nagar and go by the name Jai Guru Caterer. It’s a busy neighborhood and we’ve been part of it for several years now. We don't have a large staff, just a few of us who have been working together for a long time. Most of our work involves cooking for small parties and family gatherings. We spend a lot of time in the market picking out ingredients ourselves because we don't trust the wholesalers to always send the best stuff. Sahid Nagar has changed a lot since we first started, but our way of working has stayed pretty much the same. We have a small space where we keep all the catering gear like the big tents and the serving dishes. It takes a lot of effort to load and unload everything for every job. Sometimes the weather doesn't cooperate and we have to scramble to keep everything dry. We don’t have a big sign or a fancy office where we sit and meet clients. Usually, we just meet them at their house or over a cup of tea somewhere. It’s a very informal way of doing business but it works for us. We just focus on the cooking and making sure there is enough food for everyone. It’s a hard way to make a living but it’s honest work and it keeps us busy through the year.
