Pooja Saloon

Our shop is right on Station Road in Patia, not far from the Aditri Apartment. It is a basic place where we do haircuts and shaves for the people around here. We have a couple of chairs and some mirrors that have seen better days. It is not a fancy place with music and expensive products. Most of our customers are guys from the neighborhood who just want a quick trim or a clean shave before work. We have a small television in the corner that is usually on the news or a cricket match. It helps pass the time when someone is waiting their turn. The floor gets covered in hair pretty fast, so we are always sweeping it up between jobs. We use standard scissors and clippers. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait a bit or use the natural light from the door. It is a simple routine we follow every day. We open early in the morning because that is when people like to come in. The chairs are old but comfortable enough. We talk about the weather or whatever is happening in Bhubaneshwar while we work. It is a quiet kind of life here. We do not have any fancy signs outside, just the name so people know it is us. It is just a regular local barber shop doing its thing day after day without any fuss.
