Bajrangi Saloon

Our shop is at Plot No. 612 in Behera Sahi, right in the Nayapalli area of Bhubaneshwar. We are quite close to the Akhandalamani Temple, so you can often hear the bells ringing and the sounds of people visiting the shrine while we are working. It is a small, honest saloon where we do haircuts and shaves for the people living right nearby. The space is not very large, but we try to keep it clean and the mirrors are always wiped down with a cloth. We have a couple of chairs that have been with us since we first opened the doors. People come in covered in sweat from the Odisha heat and leave feeling a bit lighter and cooler. We do not do anything too fancy or modern, just the standard cuts that look good and stay neat for a few weeks. There is usually a folded newspaper lying around for anyone waiting their turn. I like to keep the radio on low, playing some of the local stations. It is a friendly place to be. We know most of the families around here, and I have seen some of the neighborhood kids grow up and start coming in for their very first shaves. It is not a high-end place with glass walls and expensive coffee machines. It is just a neighborhood saloon where you can get a decent haircut for a fair price. We use basic creams.
