Down at Gulabpura Gurupanna Market, at shop number 13, you’ll find us. Shiv Shanker Mobile Magic is the name on the board. I don’t know about magic, but we do try to fix things that people thought were broken for good. The market is a lively place with a lot of different stalls all squeezed together. We have a small glass front where I put the latest phone covers and headphones. It’s amazing how many different colors of cases people want these days. I spend most of my day sitting on a high stool, looking out at the shoppers passing by. Sometimes it’s slow and I just clean the display cases. Other times, everyone wants something at the same time. I’ve lived in Gulabpura all my life, so I know most of the people who walk past. We talk about the local news while I change a screen or update some software. The lighting in the shop is a bit bright, but it helps me see the tiny parts inside the phones. I keep a small diary to write down the repairs I’ve taken in so I don't forget. It’s an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for me. It’s just a standard market shop where we try to be helpful and get the job done right. We have been in Gurupanna Market for several years now.
