Mayur Mobile Shop

Mayur Mobile Shop is right at Nakoda Choraha in Bapu Nagar. It is one of those places where you can see everything happening at the intersection. We get a lot of dust because of all the vehicles stopping at the light and starting again. The shop is small and we have to be careful how we stack the boxes in the back. Most days are spent sitting behind the counter, waiting for someone who needs a new screen guard or a quick recharge for their talk time. Nakoda Choraha is always moving, and we are right in the middle of it. We have a small TV in the corner that we keep on for the news or some cricket if a match is going on that day. It’s not a very fancy setup, just some wooden shelves and a glass counter that we have to wipe down every hour. The lights inside are a bit bright, but it helps when you are looking at tiny phone parts or SIM cards. People often stop by just to ask for directions or to use the shade for a minute when it’s sunny. We don't mind that. It’s a community spot as much as it is a business for us. We’ve been at this location for a good bit of time, and we've seen the buildings around us change. Bapu Nagar is a busy place, and we are just happy to have our little corner here.
