Our place is at House No. 393 on the Main Road in Asola, which is part of the Lakhandur area. Being right on the main road means we see everyone passing by on their way to work or the market. Anush Kisan Producer Company is basically a bunch of us who decided that we should probably have a formal name for the way we’ve been working together for years. We handle all sorts of farming stuff, mostly focusing on what the farmers in Asola are growing this season. The house is a busy spot, especially during harvest time when everyone is trying to figure out where to send their produce. We don't have a big marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. We just know the land around Lakhandur and what it takes to get a decent yield. Sometimes the office gets a bit crowded with bags and samples, but that is just how it goes when you are working with the earth. We try to keep our records straight and make sure the local guys are getting a fair shake. It is practical work, nothing more and nothing less. If you are driving through Asola, you’ll likely spot the house. We are usually there from early morning until the sun goes down, just trying to keep the business running smooth for everyone involved in the group. It is just our way of getting things done.
