Somalwada Khedepar Agro Power is run out of Harish Ganpatrao Bhongade’s spot at 302/9 in Khedepar. We are located in the Lakhani area of Bhandara. It’s a beautiful part of the country, very green when the season is right. We put 'Agro Power' in the name because we wanted to focus on the energy and effort that goes into farming here. Harish has been around a long time and knows just about everyone in Khedepar. We aren't a big corporate office with air conditioning and fancy chairs. Usually, we are just sitting around a wooden table, looking at the books or talking to a neighbor who needs some help with their land. In Bhandara, water is everything, so we spend a lot of time thinking about that. The company is a way for us to pool our resources. Instead of one person struggling, we all chip in. It makes things like buying a tractor or getting a bulk order of fertilizer much easier. We have our fair share of bad days, like when the prices drop or a machine breaks down right when we need it most. But being part of the producer company means you aren't dealing with those problems alone. We are just local people trying to make the most of the land we have in Lakhani.
