This company is based right in Petgaon, which is part of Sindewahi. Zhadi Patti Shetkari Producer Company Limited was put together by a group of us who actually farm this land. We wanted a way to manage our produce better without having to go through too many middlemen. It’s a group effort, really. Everyone helps out when it's harvest time. Our office is a simple spot in the village where we meet to talk about seeds, weather, and where to sell the crops. Sometimes the meetings go long because there’s a lot to sort out. It’s not a corporate setup at all. Most of us have mud on our boots when we walk in. We deal with whatever the season brings, whether it's rice or other local crops. Petgaon is a small place, so everyone knows everyone. That makes the work easier in some ways and harder in others. We try to keep things honest and straightforward. If a crop is good, we say so. If there’s a problem, we fix it together. Being a producer company means we're all in it for the same reason. We just want to make sure the work we do in the fields actually pays off. It's hard work, but being based in Sindewahi gives us a good connection to the local markets. We’re just regular people trying to run a decent business for the community here. It isn't always easy, but we keep at it.
