Pauni Gramonnatee Farmer Producer Company Limited

If you come down to Virli Kh in the Pauni area of Bhandara, you will find us at house 260, which is Pramod Maroti Mendhe’s place. That is where Pauni Gramonnatee Farmer Producer Company Limited is based out of. It is a very rural setting, quite far from the big city noise, which is how we like it. The air is different here and the people are mostly busy with their own fields and livestock. We are just a small group trying to keep things moving for the local farmers around the village. Inside the house, there are stacks of registers and some old chairs where we sit and discuss what needs to happen next. It is not a corporate setup at all. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit on the porch until it comes back on. We know almost everyone who walks past the gate because Virli Kh is a small place. We don’t really have a big public relations team or anything fancy. It is just us, handling the day-to-day tasks that come with running a farmer producer company in this part of Maharashtra. We talk in the local language mostly and try to help out where we can. It’s hard work but it feels right being here in the middle of where the actual farming happens. The pincode 441903 is our home. We don't have many employees, just a few of us who grew up in Bhandara and wanted to work together here. Most afternoons, we just finish our work and then head home to our own families.
