Young Cricketers

Young Cricketers is situated at Sukhshantinagar 267, along the Vadgaon Road in Jayanagar Alandi Devachi. It is a bit of a distance from the main city, but it is a nice area to be in. We spend our time surrounded by bats, balls, and all sorts of gear. The shop has a very specific smell of leather and wood, which is something we’ve grown to like over the years. It’s not a huge place, so we have stuff stacked up quite high on the shelves. We spend a lot of our morning just dusting things off and making sure everything is priced correctly. Vadgaon Road sees a fair amount of people, especially on the weekends. We don't have a big mission statement or a fancy philosophy about what we do. We just keep the shop open and help people find the right size equipment. Sometimes we sit outside on a stool when the shop is empty and just watch the clouds or the traffic. It’s a simple way to spend the day. Being at number 267 means we have our own little corner of Sukhshantinagar. We don't do much advertising; mostly it’s just people who live nearby or who are passing through Jayanagar Alandi Devachi. We keep the doors open until late and then tidy up the stock before we head home for the night. It is just a regular shop for people who enjoy the game.
