Xyka Laddoos

Xyka Laddoos is our small sweet shop located at Mahadevapura on Ghoddod Road, Fc-4. We specialize in making laddoos, and that is pretty much what we do all day. We start early in the morning, getting the flour and sugar ready. The shop isn't very big, mostly just the counter and the kitchen space behind it. We put the fresh laddoos in glass cases so people can see what is available that day. We don't use any fancy packaging unless someone is taking them for a wedding or a big party. Usually, we just put them in a plain box or a paper bag. The floor is tile and we mop it a few times a day because it gets sticky with all the sugar around. Mahadevapura is a busy area, so we get a lot of people stopping by on their way home. We try to keep things traditional, the way we learned from our parents. We don't have any modern machines; most of the work is done by hand. It takes longer that way, but we just like it this way. The smells from the kitchen usually go out into the street and help people find us. We aren't trying to be the biggest shop in town, just a reliable one where you can get a good sweet when you want one. We’ve been at this spot for a while and plan to stay here for many more years as long as people keep wanting sweets.
