Agarwal Sweets & Chats

You can find us at Maskamma Nilaya, right on the 3rd Main Road in Hulimavu. We are very close to the Someshwara Temple Street, so we get a lot of people walking by after they visit the temple. The morning starts with the smell of frying oil and sugar syrup. It is a small place, Number 1063, but we make it work. Usually, there is a bit of a crowd around the chat counter in the evenings. We do not have much room for fancy decorations. The shelves are filled with whatever we made fresh that day. Sometimes we run out of things earlier than expected, and people have to wait for the next batch. Bannerghatta Road is always noisy, and that energy flows right into our shop. We spend our time rolling out dough or checking the sweetness of the milk. The floor gets a bit sticky sometimes when it is busy, but we clean it up when there is a break. Our regulars know exactly what they want before they even walk in. We do not try to be anything we are not. It is just a sweet shop on a busy street. We like seeing the same faces every week. It feels good to be part of the community here near the temple. Life is busy, the stove is hot, and we just keep going day by day.
