Sri Mishrimal

Sri Mishrimal is right there in Gandhi Nagar Mini Bazar. We are at number 32. It is a small space, but we have been here long enough that we know how to fit everything in. The bazar is always crowded, especially on the weekends when everyone is out doing their shopping. We usually open up early in the morning before the sun gets too high and the heat starts to settle in. There’s a lot of walking back and forth in the shop. It isn’t very large, so we have to be smart about where we put things. Sometimes the boxes pile up near the back door at 32, and it gets a bit hard to move around. But that is just how a busy market works, I guess. People come in and out all day, asking about this or that. We don’t use any big computers or complicated systems here. We just write things down and keep track of what we have on the shelves. The floor is old stone and it’s seen a lot of feet over the years. Gandhi Nagar is a loud place, but you get used to the sounds of the vendors calling out and the motorbikes zooming past the front. It feels like home to us after all this time. We just do our work, talk to the neighbors, and close up when the day is done.
