Vinayaka Theatre

Vinayaka Theatre is located on Sayani Road in Prabhadevi, Devarjeevanalli. It’s an older building, and you can tell by looking at it. We’ve been showing movies here for a long time. It’s not like those new multiplexes in the malls. We have a single screen and old-style seating. The lobby is small and usually smells like popcorn. We have to fix the projector every now and then when it gets grumpy. The sound system is okay, but it’s loud. People from the neighborhood come here because the tickets aren't too expensive. We have a few staff members who have been with us for decades. They know how to handle the crowds when a big movie comes out. The ticket counter is just a small window facing the street. Sayani Road is always busy with traffic, so there’s a lot of noise outside. We try to keep the hall cool with the fans and the AC, but it gets warm when it’s a full house. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but it’s a place for people to see a show. We don't have fancy websites or apps, people just show up or call. It’s a local landmark for many around here. We still use paper tickets that we tear by hand. It’s been this way since the beginning. You just find a seat and watch the film. Sometimes the film breaks, but we fix it fast.
