Vijay Theatre

We've been at Byatayanapura Damu Nagar for a while now. Vijay Theatre is just where people come to see movies. The seats aren't brand new but they work fine. We spend a lot of time cleaning up popcorn after the shows. It gets loud when the big movies play. Sometimes the projector needs a bit of looking at. People from around the corner usually walk over. We don't have fancy lights outside. It's just the big screen and some snacks at the counter. My brother helps with the tickets usually. We open up in the morning and stay late. The sound system is okay, loud enough for the back rows. Most people know where we are. It's nothing fancy but it's our place. Damu Nagar changes but we're still here in the same spot. It gets busy on weekends. We try to keep things moving so the lines don't get too long. Sometimes the fan makes a little noise. We just fix it and keep going. It's a lot of work running a theatre every day. We see the same faces every week. It feels like part of the street now. We don't do much advertising. People just show up because they want to watch something. That's how it's been. The lobby stays cool even when it's hot outside. We have some posters up on the walls that have been there for years.
