Tribhuvan Theater has been here in Gandhi Nagar for a long time. The address is Ganpatrao Chougule Marg 14 & 5. It’s an old building, you can tell by the architecture and the way the stairs feel. We have a big screen and rows of seats that have seen thousands of people over the years. Some of the seats might squeak a bit when you sit down. We show movies every day, usually several shows from the morning until late at night. The lobby has that smell of popcorn and old carpets. We have a small counter where we sell snacks and sodas. The projectors are older models, and we have to maintain them carefully so they don't break down during a show. My grandfather used to work here, and I’ve been around the theater since I was a kid. It’s a lot of work to keep an old place like this running. We have to sweep up a lot of trash after every movie ends. The posters outside are changed every week when a new film comes out. It’s not a multiplex with a dozen screens. It’s just our one big theater. People in Gandhi Nagar have been coming here for generations. It’s a bit rough around the edges, but it’s a real place with a lot of history. We hope to keep showing films here for many more years to come. It is just home.
