Sri Mothi Sweets

Sri Mothi Sweets is right here on Hakim Rahmatulla Road. We are close to Neem Wala Chowk in Yelahanka Mohalla. Most people know the spot. We spend a lot of time by the big stoves making different sweets. It gets very sweet-smelling in the mornings when the milk is boiling. We have the usual trays of barfi and laddus sitting in the glass cases. Sometimes the flies try to get in but we keep it covered. We get a lot of locals who just want a small box for their families. It is a small shop, not much room to sit, so people usually just stand and talk while they wait. The road outside can get quite crowded with traffic. We have been at this address for a good long time. My uncle used to help out here too. We use the same recipes we always had. No point changing things that work. The containers are stacked up high behind the counter. We open early and stay until the trays are mostly empty. It is just how we live. Yelahanka Mohalla is a busy place, and being near the chowk means there is always someone walking by. We just try to keep the glass clean and the sweets fresh. It is hard work on the feet, but we like seeing the kids come in with their coins. That is about it for us. We just keep making the sweets day after day.
