Sri Manjunatha Sweets & Chaats

You can find us over at 225 Naroda Road, right in the Manjunath Nagar and Balkrishna Nagar area. It is a lively neighborhood, and we fit right in with the other shops. We spend our afternoons getting the chaat ingredients ready, chopping onions and making the different chutneys. Once the sun starts to set, the crowd picks up. People come by for a quick snack or to take some sweets home for their families. We have the glass displays filled with whatever we made fresh that morning. It is a lot of work with the deep fryer, especially when the orders come in all at once. We are not a big corporate chain, just a local shop where we do everything ourselves. Sometimes it gets a little cramped inside when too many people are waiting, but everyone is usually patient. We do not have a lot of fancy signage or marketing. The smell of the spices usually lets people know we are open. We try to keep things consistent so the regulars know what to expect. The floor gets swept a few times a day, but with all the foot traffic, it is hard to keep it perfect. We just focus on the food and making sure the syrup for the sweets is the right thickness. It is a good spot to be, and we like the people around here. We just take it one day at a time and keep the snacks coming.
