Sri Mahalakshmi Sweets

If you are walking around Malleshwaram, you might come across Sri Mahalakshmi Sweets. We are located at 486 on the 2nd Main, right at the 3rd Cross. It is a simple place where we spend our days getting everything ready for whoever walks through the door. The mornings start with the smell of the kitchen as we prepare the different trays. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have been doing this for a while. The shop can get quite warm in the afternoons, especially when the sun hits the front window. We spend a lot of time just wiping down the glass cases and making sure the sweets are lined up properly. Malleshwaram is a nice area with a lot of history, and we feel like a small part of that on this corner. We don't use any fancy words to describe what we do. We just make the food and put it out for sale. Sometimes the street outside gets very crowded with people going to the market, and we just watch the world go by from behind the counter. It’s a lot of standing and moving around, but we are used to the rhythm. We stay open until the evening, then we pack up what is left and clean for the next day. It’s just our daily life at number 486, making sure the trays are full and the customers find what they need.
