Sri Hanuman Sweets

If you find yourself on Hebbal 1st Main Road near Vinayaknagar, you will probably smell the sugar from Sri Hanuman Sweets. We are located at 115/48/2 on Magadi Main Road 10. Every morning starts very early for us because the milk and ghee arrive before the sun is even up. We spend hours standing over big iron pots, stirring things until they are just right. It is hot work and your clothes always end up smelling like cardamom and fried dough. We make the usual stuff like laddoos, jalebis, and mixtures that people like to eat with their tea. The shop gets very crowded in the evenings when people are heading home from work. They want something sweet to take back to their families. We have a glass counter that we are constantly cleaning because of all the fingerprints. Sometimes we run out of the popular items by six o'clock and people get a little disappointed. The floors are a bit sticky no matter how many times we sweep them, but that is just what happens in a sweet shop. We have been in this spot for a good while, and the neighborhood has changed a lot around us. But we still do things the old way, measuring out the sugar by hand and making sure the oil is hot enough. It is just honest work that makes people happy. We have a small sink where we wash our hands a hundred times a day.
