Shubham Sweet&Farsan Mart

We've been here at Tataguni Main Road for a while now. Most people know us for the sweets and the farsan. It gets busy on Vasanthpura Main Road, especially in the evenings when people are heading home and want something to eat. We open up early to get the snacks ready. The oil is always hot in the back. It's just a small place, really. We don't have fancy seats or anything, just the glass counters with the different types of sev and laddoos stacked up. Sometimes the traffic outside is so loud you can't hear the customers, but we manage somehow. People stop by on their scooters and leave the engines running. It’s a lot of work making everything from scratch every day. My hands usually smell like cardamom or fried flour by the time I go home. We try to keep things fresh because nobody likes stale snacks. The shelves get empty pretty fast on festival days like Diwali or Ganesh Chaturthi. We just keep doing what we do. It's not a big corporate thing, just a regular mart. If you're passing by the main road, you'll see the sign. It’s been there for years and hasn't changed much. We know the neighbors around here. Some of them have been coming since they were kids. Now they bring their own kids for a piece of barfi. That’s just how it goes here. It’s steady work. We don't change much because the old ways work fine.
