About Shree Balaji Sweets – Food & Beverages in Bengaluru
I've been opening up here on Race Course Road for a while now. Most mornings start pretty early because getting the milk and sugar right takes time. We sit right here in Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar, and the neighborhood usually gets busy around ten. People stop by when they’re headed to work or just out for a walk. It’s a simple setup at number 6. We keep the counters clean and try to make sure everything looks decent before the first person walks in. My cousin helps out sometimes when it gets crowded during the festival months. We don't do anything too fancy, just the usual stuff you'd expect to find in a sweet stall. Sometimes the weather makes the shop a bit hot, but that's just how it goes with the stoves running all day. I usually spend my afternoons checking the stock or just sitting on the stool near the door. It’s a small place, nothing like those big chains you see in the city center. We know most of the faces that come through the door. If someone wants something specific, they usually tell us a day before. It’s just us doing what we know how to do. The traffic on the road outside can get a bit loud, but inside it’s mostly just the sound of the fridge humming. We’re just here on the corner, keeping things going every day, serving the local crowd as best as we can without making any fuss about it.
