Walking into our place on Banaswadi Veer Nariman Road 305, you will notice it smells mostly like cocoa and sugar, which is not a bad way to spend your day. We have been running this little shop for a while, focusing on chocolates and sweet things that people like to pick up for birthdays or just a snack. It is not one of those high-end boutiques where everything is behind velvet ropes. We keep things out where you can see them. Sometimes the Bangalore heat makes it tricky to keep everything at the right temperature, so we are always fussing with the cooling units. The shop is tucked into a busy part of Banaswadi, so we get a lot of people stopping in after work. We started out just making a few small batches and it grew from there into a full-time thing. There are days when the kitchen in the back is a bit of a mess with chocolate everywhere, but that is just how it goes when you are busy. We do not have a massive team, just a few of us who know how to handle the molds and the packaging. It is hard work but it feels good when someone comes back to tell us they enjoyed what they bought. The neighborhood knows us now, and we have seen kids grow up coming here for their treats. It is just a simple, local business trying to do one thing well without any fuss.
