Saraswathi Sweets

In the 1st Block of Koramangala, things are a bit quieter than the rest of the area. We are located at number 970 on the 1st Main and 1st Cross. Our shop has been a part of this corner for a while. It’s not a big fancy showroom like the ones you see in the mall. It’s just a neighborhood sweet shop. We make our snacks in the back and bring them out to the front counter. You can usually find us sitting there waiting for the evening rush. That's when people coming back from the office stop to get something for tea. We don't have any colorful lights or loud music. Just the basics. The shelves are filled with packets of chips and different kinds of traditional sweets. Sometimes the floor gets a bit sticky, especially when we are moving the syrup trays around. We have a couple of ceiling fans that have been rattling for years, but they keep the air moving at least. Dealing with customers is the best part of the day, even the ones who are a bit picky about which piece of sweet they want. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It is just a local business trying to keep the neighbors happy with some fresh food. It is honest work and it keeps us connected to the people living around here. We just stay open until the trays are empty.
