S J P Center

We’ve been here at Magadi Road 5 for a good while now. It’s a busy spot, mostly because of all the traffic outside, but inside we just try to keep things moving. S J P Center is basically just a place where things happen every day. We open the shutters early, usually when the sun is just coming up and the tea stalls nearby are starting to get crowded. There isn’t much to say about the building itself, it’s just a standard place with rooms and hallways that we try to keep tidy. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit in the back hallway, but we know which switch to jiggle. People come in and out all day for different things. Some are regulars who know everyone’s name and others are just passing through because they’re in the neighborhood. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who handle the day-to-day stuff like fixing a leaky tap or making sure the front area is swept. It gets dusty pretty fast with the road right there. We spend a lot of time just talking to the neighbors or watching the buses go by. It's a simple operation, really. We don't have fancy office chairs or anything like that, just what works. Most days are pretty much the same, which is fine by us. We just focus on getting the doors open on time and making sure things are where they should be for whoever shows up.
