Renukamba Mini Theatre

You can find our theatre at 59 on the 18th Cross in Malleswaram West, specifically on the 4th Main. This isn't one of those huge cinemas you find in the malls. It’s a mini theatre, which means it’s small and has a more personal feel to it. We show a lot of local Kannada films and sometimes smaller productions that don't get much space elsewhere. The building is older and has its own character. The seats are standard and might creak a bit when you sit down. We have a tiny counter where you can buy some snacks like popcorn or a bottle of water before the show starts. We handle everything ourselves, from ripping the tickets at the door to running the projector in the back. Sometimes the screen has a little flicker, but we fix it as fast as we can. People in Malleswaram have been coming to us for a long time, and we know many of the faces. It’s a quiet neighborhood, but it gets a bit lively when a new movie opens. We don't have fancy surround sound or 3D screens. It’s just a place to watch a movie without spending a lot of money. We try to keep the place as clean as we can between the shows. It’s a simple operation and we like it that way. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the box office at the entrance.
