Rajbhavan Sweets & Savouries

Rajbhavan Sweets & Savouries is located over on 5th Main, specifically at 17th D Cross in Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar. If you know the area, you know it can get a little crowded in the afternoons. We spend most of our time in the kitchen or behind the counter. It gets quite warm back there with the stoves going all day, but that’s how it is. We make a variety of things, mostly the usual sweets and snacks people like to pick up on their way home. It’s not a fancy place with modern decor. The shelves are usually full, and sometimes the floor gets a bit sticky if we’re having a busy day. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us making sure the glass cases are filled and the orders are packed right. Sometimes we run out of certain items earlier than expected, which can be annoying, but we try to keep up. Being in Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar means we see a lot of the same faces every week. It’s a nice neighborhood to be in. We’ve got our routine down, from opening up early to cleaning everything at night. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our feet. We don’t really do anything flashy. We just stay at 10, 5th Main and keep the doors open for whoever stops by. It is a simple shop for local folks.
