Prakash Theatre has been a fixture on Bellary Road in Yelahanka for a long time. If you live around here, you probably know where it is. It’s an older building, and you can tell by looking at the walls and the seating. We show movies throughout the week, and the crowd changes depending on what is playing. On weekends, it gets a bit loud with families and groups of friends coming in. The lobby isn't very big, so it gets crowded fast before a show starts. We have the usual snacks, nothing too out of the ordinary. Sometimes the projector gives us a bit of trouble or the sound needs adjusting, but we fix it as we go. It’s not like those big malls they have now. It feels more like the old days of going to the cinema. Bellary Road is always busy with traffic, so there is constant humming from the cars outside. We spend a lot of time sweeping up popcorn and keeping the aisles clear. The staff is just a small group of us who have been doing this for years. We know the regulars who come every Friday to see the new release. It is a lot of standing around and waiting for the reels to finish. We don’t try to be anything other than a local movie house. It’s just what we do here in Yelahanka. We hope the fans enjoy the show while they sit in our seats.
