North Karnataka Sweets & Namkins Point

Our shop is located at Benniganahalli 1 & 2. We specialize in the kinds of snacks and sweets you find in the northern part of the state. Most of what we sell comes in bags that we pack ourselves right here behind the counter. You can hear the crunch when we test a new batch of namkin. We have shelves lined with jars full of different items. Sometimes the lids are a bit hard to get off. It’s a family business, so you will often see my kids helping out after school. They mostly just move boxes around or sweep the floor. We get a lot of people who are traveling and want to take something back home with them. We use a lot of spice and different flours that we get from specific suppliers we trust. The shop isn't very big, so if more than five people come in at once, it feels crowded. We have a small scale for weighing everything out and it’s been serviced many times to keep it accurate. The front window gets a lot of sun in the afternoon, so we have to be careful about where we put the sweets so they don't melt or get soft. It's a simple life running a snack point. We enjoy talking to the customers about where they are from and what they like to eat. The traffic outside can be loud, but we just turn up the radio a bit.
