Nandini Cinema Theatre

Nandini Cinema Theatre is located at Queens Road 14 in Mahalaxmi Puram. It’s an older building that has been around for quite some time. You can tell by the style of the seats and the way the lobby looks. We show a mix of movies, mostly whatever is popular at the time. The projector is old but it still works well enough for our daily shows. We have a small counter where we sell popcorn and sodas to the moviegoers. It’s not a big multiplex with twenty screens, just a single hall where everyone sits together. Sometimes the air conditioning takes a little while to cool the whole room down if it’s a full house. We have a few staff members who have worked here for years. They know how to handle the crowds when a big movie opens. The floor is a bit worn in the aisles, but that’s from years of people walking in and out. We try to keep the ticket prices fair so families can come by on the weekends without spending too much. It’s a local landmark for people who grew up in this part of town. We don't have fancy reclining seats, just the standard ones. It’s a place to watch a movie and forget about things for a couple of hours. We just keep the reels spinning.
