Nandhini Sweets

We are located right on the Rajajinagar Outer Ring Road, at number 1. Being near the main road means there's always a layer of dust on the windows, so we’re constantly wiping them down. Nandhini Sweets starts early. Most of us are here before the sun is even up, getting the big pots ready. The kitchen is always hot, and there’s that heavy smell of sugar and ghee that sticks to your clothes. It’s hard work, standing on your feet all day, but we’re used to it. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone telling us how to talk to people. We just put the trays out and wait for the morning crowd. The Outer Ring Road is always loud with trucks and bikes, especially during rush hour. Sometimes the shop gets so crowded that people have to wait on the sidewalk. We try to keep things moving, but we only have so many hands. The counters are a bit scratched from years of use, and the floor tile has a crack near the door that we never got around to fixing. It’s just a normal place where we make snacks and sweets every day. We don't do anything fancy with the packaging; it’s just plain boxes and bags. People seem to know where to find us without any big advertisements. We just focus on the cooking and keeping the counters stocked.
