Mishra Pedhas

Mishra Pedhas is located at Jayanagar Navnit Park, along the Harni Warasia Ring Road 26665. It’s a busy intersection, so there is always the sound of horns and engines in the background. We mostly just make pedhas, which means we spend a lot of our time working with milk and sugar. The process is slow. You can’t rush it or the texture goes wrong. We have these large iron pans that we use to thicken the milk. It takes a lot of stirring, and your arms get tired after a few hours. The shop at Navnit Park isn't very big, so we have to be smart about how we use the space. We keep the pedhas in glass cases so people can see them from the street. The Ring Road brings in a lot of travelers who just stop for a quick snack. We get some regulars from Jayanagar too. The floor is tiled and we have to wash it twice a day because of the sticky spills. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use flashlights to finish a batch. It’s not a perfect setup, but it’s our shop and we know every crack in the walls. We don't bother with fancy advertising; the smell of the cooking milk usually does the job for us anyway. We’ve been here a while and we plan to stay put for now.
