Manjushree Sweets & Condiments

We set up shop in HSR Layout quite a while ago. It’s a nice area but it has gotten much busier than it used to be. Our day starts early, long before the traffic starts on the main roads. We have to get the kitchen going and the displays filled up before the first customers walk in. The building we are in is simple, just a standard storefront with a rolling metal shutter that we pull up every morning. We have a few benches outside where people can sit if they aren't in a rush. Inside, the walls are a plain color and we have some calendars from the local temple hanging up. We spend a lot of time cleaning the counters and organizing the packets of snacks. The kids from the nearby school often come by in the afternoon with their spare change. We know which ones are polite and which ones are troublemakers. It’s a lot of repetitive work, weighing things and tying knots in plastic bags, but it’s what we know. The sun shines directly into the front of the shop in the evenings, so we have to pull the shade down halfway. We don't have a big fancy sign, just the name above the door. We just try to keep things steady and make sure we have enough stock for the weekend rush.
