Mahalakshmi Foods

You can find Mahalakshmi Foods over on 3rd Main Road. We are in the Rajarajeshwari Layout part of Nagadevanahalli. It is a residential area, so it’s mostly families who live around here. The shop is on the ground floor of a small building. We keep a lot of food items, mostly things people need for their daily cooking. I spend a lot of time checking the dates on the packets to make sure everything is okay. The shelves are packed tight because the room is not very big. It can be a bit hard to move around when there are more than three people inside. Nagadevanahalli has changed a lot since I was a kid. There are more cars now and more noise. I usually sit on a stool near the window so I can see who is coming. The tea stall across the road is where I get my breakfast every morning. Some days the delivery trucks can't find the layout and I have to go out to the main road to wave them down. It’s a bit annoying but that’s part of the job. We don’t have a big staff, just me and my brother. We just try to keep things running smoothly for the neighbors. The rain last week caused a bit of a leak near the back door, so I have been busy fixing that between customers. It’s hard work but it’s our life.
