The building is situated on Commissariat Road near Nawa Darwaja Road and it is a very large space to manage. We spend most of our shift walking back and forth through the long hallways between the different screens. There is always a lot of cleaning to do because people leave their trash behind after every show ends. The smell of the popcorn machines is very strong and it stays on your clothes long after you leave work. We stand at the entrances to check tickets and point people toward the right theater. It gets extremely crowded on Friday and Saturday nights and sometimes the lobby feels like it is bursting. The air conditioning is kept very high so it is always a bit cold inside even when it is hot out on Commissariat Road. We have to be very quick with the theater turnovers so the next group can get in on time. Sometimes the projectors have issues and we have to call someone to fix the settings while people are waiting. It is a lot of standing around and watching the clock. The staff entrance is around the back on the Nawa Darwaja Road side which is a bit quieter. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the floors are not too sticky. By the time we finish the last cleanup of the night we are usually exhausted.
