Gemini Plantain Mandy

We operate out of the Doddanekkundi Industrial Area, specifically in the 2nd Stage at number 50 on Euro School Road. This is a plantain mandy, so we deal with bananas all day long. Large bunches come in on trucks from the farms, and we sort them out. It is sticky work and your hands get stained from the sap, but that is just how it is. The air always smells a bit sweet here because of the fruit ripening. We have a big open space where we keep the produce. It is not a fancy showroom, just a place for business. We sell to local vendors and people who need large amounts for functions. My brother and I started this because we knew some farmers back home. It is a lot of physical labor, lifting the heavy stalks and making sure they do not get bruised. The floor is usually covered in bits of dried leaves and stalks. We try to sweep it at the end of the day. The road outside can get very muddy when it rains, making it hard for the trucks to pull in. We just wait for it to dry and keep working. We do not use any big machines, just our hands and some scales. It is a simple trade. We have been at this spot for a few years and the neighbors in the industrial area are good people. We just keep our heads down and handle the fruit.
