About Deepika Homemade Chocolates – Food & Beverages in Bengaluru
I started Deepika Homemade Chocolates right here at my place in Sultanpalya 3rd Cross, S P Road 47. It’s not a factory or anything like that. Most of the work happens in the kitchen where I have my molds and some basic equipment for melting and mixing. The house often smells like cocoa and sugar, which the neighbors seem to like when they walk past. I spend a lot of time tempering the chocolate and making sure it sets right in the cool air. Sometimes a batch doesn't turn out perfect, maybe it’s a bit dull, so I just save those for the family to eat. At 47 S P Road, you’ll find boxes piled up in the corner waiting to be filled with the latest treats. I do all the wrapping myself, usually while listening to the radio. It’s a slow process because I don't have any big machines to help me. People from Sultanpalya usually just call me up or drop by the 3rd Cross to pick up a box for a birthday or a gift. It’s a bit chaotic when there is a big holiday like Diwali coming up, and I stay up late finishing orders. I don't have a fancy shopfront, just a small sign so people know they have the right house. It’s just me doing something I enjoy, and it keeps me busy throughout the day. I like that people enjoy something I made with my own hands.
