My family and I have been running Chocoworld at Konankunte Cross for some time. We are at 14/A, right near the corner. It isn't a massive factory or anything like that, just a small shop where we handle a lot of cocoa and sugar. The smell of melting chocolate stays on your clothes long after you leave, which my kids used to complain about. We spend most of our mornings getting the trays ready. Some days the humidity makes things difficult, and the chocolate doesn't set exactly right, so we have to start that batch over. It is a bit of a process, honestly. We do not have those big machines you see on TV. Most of it is done by hand, using small bowls and spatulas. People from around Jayanagar stop in when they need a gift or just a small treat for themselves after work. We keep the display cases clean, but the back room is always a bit of a mess with wrappers and cocoa powder. It is a job that keeps us busy from morning till evening. We try to keep a decent variety on the shelves, though some things sell out much faster than others. If you come by in the afternoon, you might catch us in the middle of a batch. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make something that tastes okay. It is hard work, but we like being part of the neighborhood here.
