Chocolate Philosophy

We are over in RT Nagar on 9th Cross, right in the 2nd Block. The shop is at number 412. It’s not a very big place, but it gets the job done. Most days it smells like cocoa as soon as you step through the door, which I don’t even notice anymore because I’ve been here so long. We spend most of our time in the back working with the machines and trying to keep everything cool. Bangalore weather helps, but when the machines are running, it gets quite warm. There’s always a bit of chocolate on someone’s apron or on the counters. We aren't trying to be fancy even though the name Chocolate Philosophy sounds a bit like it. It’s just us making things and hoping they set right in the molds. Sometimes the temper isn’t perfect and we have to start over, which is frustrating but that’s just how it goes. We get people from the neighborhood stopping by, usually looking for a gift or something sweet after lunch. The 9th cross can get a bit crowded with parked scooters, so sometimes it’s hard to see the sign. We just keep our heads down and keep working. There isn't much to say other than we spend a lot of time cleaning up spills and wrapping things in foil. It's steady work and it keeps us busy from morning until we shut the lights off. Chocolate Philosophy is just what we do every day.
