Amruth Theatre

Amruth Theatre is located at number 1075 in Lingarajapuram. It is an old building that has been around for quite a bit. We show movies every day, usually a few different showtimes. The lobby is simple and we have a small counter for snacks like popcorn and sodas. People come here from all over the neighborhood. The seats have seen better days but they work fine for a couple of hours. We spend a lot of time cleaning up the spilled drinks and wrappers after each show. It is a big space to keep up with. Sometimes the projector needs a bit of a nudge but the picture gets up there eventually. We like the noise of the crowd when a big movie starts. Lingarajapuram is a good place for a cinema because people around here still like going out for a show. We do not have a fancy website or anything like that. Most people just check the posters outside or know the times by heart. The stairs are a bit steep going up to the balcony. We try to keep the lights working in the hallways. It is just a neighborhood theatre where you can sit down and watch something. We have the box office right at the front. It is a straightforward business. We show the films, and people come to watch them. That is the way it goes here. We close up once the last movie ends.
