Adyar Anand Sweets

Our shop is over on M G Road in Malleshwaram, specifically at 66/4. It’s a busy corner of the neighborhood. Adyar Anand Sweets has been part of the daily routine for many families around here. We open up the shutters every morning and start setting out the trays. There is a lot of milk being boiled and sugar being melted in the back. It gets quite steamy in there. We have a few glass counters that we spend a lot of time cleaning because fingerprints show up so easily. The staff has been here for a long time, so we all know what needs to be done without talking much. We see a lot of grandparents coming in with their grandkids to pick out a treat after school. It’s nice to see the same families year after year. We don't do much in terms of fancy decorations. The walls are plain, and the floor is just stone. We focus more on making sure the ghee is good and the nuts are fresh. Sometimes we have a bit of a queue out the door during the holidays, and people get a little impatient, but we move as fast as we can. It’s just a regular sweet shop doing things the old way. We aren't a big corporation; we're just a local spot in Malleshwaram where you can get something sweet. We'll be here tomorrow morning too, ready to go again.
