Sudana Residential School

Our place is located right on Bangalore Road in the Bandimot area. Being a residential school, things are a bit different here because the kids stay with us day and night. The building at No 135/6 stays busy from the moment everyone wakes up until the lights go out. In the mornings, you can smell breakfast cooking in the kitchen, and there is a lot of rushing around as students get ready for their classes. We spend a lot of time together, so it feels less like a regular office and more like a big, noisy house. The dorms are simple, and we try to make sure everyone has their own space for their trunks and books. During the day, the focus is on the lessons, but once the afternoon hits, you will see the kids out in the yard or just hanging out in the common areas. Bangalore Road is usually quite noisy with trucks and cars going by, but once you get inside the gates, it feels a bit more tucked away. We have been here in Bellary for a long time now. The staff mostly lives nearby too, so we are all part of the same community. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or we need to fix a fan, but we manage. It is a lot of work looking after so many people all the time, but this is just how our life is here at Bandimot.
