Subhash H. Sr. School

We have been running this school here on Zohara Bi Madrasa Street for quite a while now. If you walk down Ward 23, you will find our building at No.48/C. It is not a huge place, but it serves the families around here in Bellary just fine. The morning starts early when the sun is just coming up over the rooftops. You can hear the kids shouting as they walk down the lane. Most of them live nearby, so they just walk or bike over. The teachers are usually here before the first bell, getting their desks ready. We do not have fancy stuff, just regular classrooms with desks that have seen a lot of students over the years. Some of the windows stick a bit when it rains, and we have to prop the doors open when it gets too hot in the afternoon. The hallway gets pretty loud during the breaks, which is just how it is with so many young people in one building. We try to keep things organized, but it is a busy place. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just keep working by the light from the windows. It is a local school for local people. Parents stop by the gate to talk to us about how their kids are doing, and we know most of the faces in the neighborhood. It is a simple setup, but it is what we do every day here in this part of town.
