Sunrise English High School

Sunrise English High School is over in Mahaveer Nagar in the Huvinahadagali part of Bellary. If you’re walking around the 583219 area, you’ll likely pass by our front gate at some point. The school has been part of this neighborhood for quite a while now. The building is a bit worn in places, but it stays sturdy for the kids. Every morning, the streets get filled with students in their uniforms, and it gets pretty loud before the first bell. High schoolers always have a lot of energy, so the hallways are never really quiet. We have several rooms where the students spend their day sitting at desks that have seen better times. During the lunch break, everyone heads outside to find some shade under the trees because Bellary gets very hot. We don’t have much in the way of high-tech equipment, just the usual boards and books that get the job done. The staff are mostly local people who have lived here for ages and know the families well. We don't really do the whole corporate thing; we just focus on the daily lessons. When school lets out in the afternoon, the whole area around Mahaveer Nagar gets busy again with students heading home. It’s a very normal, local kind of school. We just keep things moving and try to stay on top of the housework and teaching every single day.
