Sujana National Public School

If you take the Yallapur Road out toward Badanahati, you will find us at 209C/3A. We are a bit away from the main center of Bellary, which means it is a little quieter than some other spots. The school is a plain building, and we have been working out of this location for several years now. Every morning, the buses and cycles arrive, and the whole place wakes up. We have regular classrooms with blackboards and wooden benches. Some of the benches have names carved into them from students who were here years ago. We do not spend much on decorations because we focus more on what needs to be done each day. The playground is just a dusty patch of land, but it gets plenty of use during the lunch hour. You will see the teachers sitting together under the shade when they have a free minute. We have a lot of kids from the nearby villages and the edges of the city. Life here is pretty straightforward. We follow the calendar, have our little events for the holidays, and try to make sure the building stays in one piece. It gets quite dusty on Yallapur Road during the dry season, so we are always sweeping out the floors. It is just a normal school where people work hard and the kids grow up fast. We have gotten used to the rhythm of this place over the seasons.
