Sundi Bai Kesharwani H.S. School Beohari

Down in Kottur, Bellary, is where we have the Sundi Bai Kesharwani H.S. School Beohari. It is a long name for a place that is actually quite simple once you get there. We are out in a part of the district that is a bit quieter than the center of town. The school building has been standing for a long time, and you can see that in the way the paint is or how the doors creak. We do not mind it much, as it is just part of the history of the place. Every day, the kids from the local area come in, and the rooms fill up with their voices. We have a regular schedule that we stick to, starting with the first bell and going until the afternoon. The classrooms have the usual benches and boards, and we try to keep things as organized as we can. It gets quite warm in Kottur, so we are always glad for the shade of the trees outside. The teachers here have mostly been around for a long time, so we all know each other’s ways. It is a community spot more than anything else. We see the kids grow up from year to year, and by the time they leave us, they are ready for whatever comes next. We just keep the doors open and do our job every day, regardless of the weather or the time of year.
