Jsw Steel Limited

We are located over at G1/2 in the V.V. Nagar Township. This is part of the Jsw Steel Limited setup right in Toranagallu Village. If you know the Sandur area in Bellary, you know how it gets here. It is mostly dry and the sun really beats down on the steel structures all day long. We have been working out of this spot in Karnataka for a long time now. The township is where most of us live and spend our time when we aren't on the clock. It is a big operation with lots of trucks moving in and out every hour of the day. You can hear the hum of the plant from most of the houses nearby. People come here from many different states to work, so you hear various languages in the canteen. It is not some fancy corporate park with glass buildings and green lawns. It is a real place with red dirt and heavy machinery everywhere. We deal with a lot of metal and the work can be pretty tiring for everyone involved. The roads around the village are always busy with people heading to their shifts. It gets a bit dusty, especially when the wind picks up in the afternoon. We just keep things moving and try to stay out of the heat when we can. It’s a simple life here centered around the steel. Not much else happens in this part of Sandur besides the work we do.
