Mehi Farmer Producer Company Limited started as a local project in Dighalbank. You can find us at Choudhary Basitulsia, specifically around Ward No 02. We operate out of Abhijit Ghosh’s place. Dighalbank is a quiet spot, and we like it that way. We are just a bunch of farmers who thought that forming a producer company would be a good way to keep our community strong. We aren't doing this to become famous or to build a big empire. We just want to make sure that the people who actually grow the food have some say in how it gets sold. It’s a practical thing, really. We spend a lot of time just talking to each other about what works and what doesn't. Sometimes the paperwork for the company feels like a big headache because we'd rather be outside, but we know it has to be done. The name Mehi is something that means something to us locally. We don't have any fancy brochures or a website that looks like it cost a lot of money. Our address is our home, and our work is our life. If you come by Ward No 02, you'll see us there, just regular people trying to make a living from the land. It’s not always pretty, and we have plenty of long days, but it’s what we know.
