Begusarai Farmers Producer Company Limited

We are located in Matihani, specifically at the house of Lalan Ray. This is in the Matihani block of the Begusarai district. We are just a group of local farmers who work together under this company name. It isn't anything grand. We don't have a big staff or any fancy equipment. Our office is just a room in the house where we keep our files and meet to talk. Begusarai is a place where farming is life. We spend most of our time out in the fields, worrying about the sun and the rain. We set this company up to help ourselves and our neighbors get better prices for what we grow. It’s a lot of manual labor and long hours. We don't have a marketing department. We just rely on the quality of our grain and the word of people in the village. Everyone knows Lalan’s house, so it’s easy for folks to stop by and talk. We don't use any big business jargon. We just speak plain English about things that matter to us, like the cost of seeds or when the truck is coming. It’s an imperfect way of doing things, but it’s ours. We are just simple people trying to make the most of what we have. We plan to keep working the land as long as we can. Every season brings new challenges and we face them as a group.
